Who can take part?
All schools participating in this community should to be engaged with the Higher-level Maths Achievement Programme; this may include a nominated teacher being part of a Higher-level Maths Achievement Work Group.
What is involved?
This community builds on the Higher-level Maths Achievement Work Groups. It will support teachers, working with their departments, to further embed the practices explored in the Higher-level Maths Achievement Work Group. Participants will be part of an online community, work with their local Maths Hub, and continue to attend study days with their students.
Through professional collaboration and exploration of classroom materials, participants will continue to embed strategies into their practice to enable their students to access the highest grades at GCSE.
What will you learn?
- Your students will develop the deep understanding needed for higher GCSE grades
- You and your school will embed a culture of high expectations and equitable access to challenging maths topics
- Your students will be more likely to progress to study maths at post-16
- You will collaborate with colleagues to embed a culture of high expectations
What is the cost?
The community, run by the Maths Hubs Programme, in partnership with the AMSP, is free to participating schools.
